PIFA is a joint project by VektorNode, ERNE Holzbau AG, and Carl Meier Sohn AG. The ventilated facade consists of individually bent metal pixels fabricated robotically from parametric production data. Additional 3D-printed parts were developed as protective and positioning elements for transport and installation.

Robotic Bending
Each metal pixel was bent individually by an industrial robot. ERNE Holzbau AG carried out the robotic bending of the steel sheets. The production data - position, angle, and bend of each element - were derived directly from the parametric model and transferred to the machine.
